In this session, we will discuss societal, economic, and technology trends that are accelerating decentralization in a variety of industries. We will examine how they are linked and explore opportunities and challenges for industry disruption and organizational transformation.

Denyse Cardozo

With more than 20 years of experience guiding the strategic operations for nonprofit, corporate, and small business, Denyse Cardozo is regarded as a strong leader with the ability to elevate organizational success across a wide range of operational areas, including partner development, finance, human resources, program management, and stakeholder engagement. She is passionate about community and creating diverse, inclusive & welcoming programs in which everyone’s unique backgrounds, identities, cultures and perspectives are respected, embraced and celebrated.
Denyse currently serves as Managing Director for #LatinaGeeks, a non-profit organization with the mission to empower and inspire Latinas by sharing technical knowledge, business skills, and entrepreneurship resources through hands-on workshops and community events. She is also a member of the Post-Industrial Institute advisory board.
Frode Odegard
Chairman and CEO, Post-Industrial Institute
Frode Odegard studies how enterprises, investors, and policymakers can best navigate the transition to a post-industrial civilization and economy. He is the founder of the Post-Industrial Institute, which provides advisory, educational, and strategic services to corporates and investors to help them turn disruption into opportunity. Frode is also the founder of the Post-Industrial Forum, a global community formed to develop and promote a better understanding of the post-industrial transition and how to navigate it. Its members include investors, executives, founders, and policymakers.
Laureen Knudsen
Chief Transformation Officer, Broadcom
Laureen has led enterprise transformations in four global companies. She works with industry leaders and internal experts to define the future of business and bring Lean principles to all parts of an organization, focusing on optimizing end-to-end value stream flows, removing waste, and ensuring executives can make data-driven decisions.
Laureen is the Co-Author of Modern Business Management: Creating a Built-to-Change Organization. Laureen is a Forbes Technology Council Member and she is also on the Forbes 2021 Top 100 Women in Tech list.
Steve Goldberg
Partner, Finistere Ventures
Steve is a Partner at Finistere Ventures. Previously, Steve was a Partner at Venrock from (2009 – 2020) after having been CEO of several early-stage companies including DataRunway, Vidient, Arcwave, and CoWave Networks. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Research and Development at Nokia Internet Communications and Vice President and General Manager of the Wireless Communications Division at Cylink Corporation. Steve also held senior management and engineering positions at Trimble Navigation and Hewlett Packard. At Venrock, Steve focused on investments in connectivity, M2M/Internet of Things, security, robotics, and embedded systems. He is currently sitting on the Board of Directors FutureDial, a mobile phone software company providing reverse logistics support and SolidPower, an EV lithium-ion, solid-state battery company. He is also a company advisor to Alcatraz.ai, Bruviti, and Accern. Previous board seats include Lucid Motors (Nasdaq: LCID), Quantenna (Nasdaq:QTNA), Canesta (Acq by Microsoft), Kineto Wireless (Acq by Taqua), Newport Media (Acq by Atmel), and Teranetics (Acq by PLX Technology).
Steve received his B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Washington University, St. Louis and his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Peter Marcotullio
VP of Commercial R&D, SRI International
With more than 20 years of business development experience, Peter Marcotullio directs commercial sector business development for SRI International. Focusing on strategic, long-term partnerships with clients, he directs market research and analysis, intellectual property management, commercialization and business strategy development, new venture creation, and marketing. Peter holds five patents, and he led the creation of several SRI venture companies.
Before joining SRI, Peter was a venture manager with Thermo Technology Ventures based in Waltham, Massachusetts, where he participated in the founding and financing of more than a dozen new companies. At Primex Technologies (acquired by General Dynamics) Peter led research, development and planning for the $500 million defense and aerospace firm that was spun-out from Olin Corporation in 1996.
Peter holds a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Lehigh University. He has taken graduate and executive management courses at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and Stanford University School of Business. Marcotullio is also a graduate of the Defense Acquisition University’s Defense Systems Management College.
Blaine Mathieu

As a CEO, CMO, Chief Products Officer, and Founder at both private software and IoT startups and public tech giants, Blaine has helped build numerous high-growth, high-margin businesses. Over the course of his career, he has worked with companies across North America, Europe, and Asia and his passion for AI, IoT, and edge computing has also made him a sought-after speaker at dozens of global industry events. Blaine is based out of the SF Bay area and is CEO of Intelligent Edge Computing and Distributed Cloud Platform company Praetexo.
